poory written

I hate to be a grammar nazi but this book is hard to read because the writing is really awful. Please hire an editor or even an eighth grader that passed English . Please reread your written work and use commas in their proper place and periods instead of commas. I suspect English isn't your first language and if not then I'd understand the misuse of punctuation and words. Sorry to be so critical but if writing is your profession you really need to learn proper grammar.

I am so fond of reading and watching crimes and investigation. In fact, I also play a mystery game that involves CSI. I really got so interested in reading this book. shocking people who I consider psychos killed a lot of innocent people just to satisfy them. They are so crazy to do such thing! One of the serial killers that I can never forget is the Zodiac. Until now, it's still unsolved.

Could be much better if edited...

I could not get past chapter 1. The stories themselves are interesting and horrific. That point gets across well. But this is, yet, another Kindle book in dire need of editing. The grammatical errors were so severe that I was highly distracted through the whole first chapter, and the impact the actual narrative had on me was much lessened thereby.

The most common issues is the author's repetition of comma splicing when the two thoughts should be split into complete sentences. I highlighted quite a few areas in chapter 1 as I was reading. LOC 77: "Being admitted to a hospital encompasses several feelings, for instance, there would be..." Should be "Being admitted to a hospital encompasses several feelings. For instance..." Or LOC 88: "...that led to her demise, this event..." should be "...that led to her demise. This event..."

There's also some areas where the actual sentence structure could be improved by rewording. For instance, LOC 98: "Unfortunately, it was in his job..." could be, "Unfortunately, it was AT his job....". Or LOC 117: "He was assigned at the..." could be, "For three years, he was assigned at..."

And there's the usual misspelled or unfinished word, such as "trie" instead of "tried" at LOC 98.

There's other areas in the first chapter, but I put the book down when I was finished reading said chapter. It's simply not worth my time or money to purchase a book in need of editing and struggle through it with good intentions.

NOT as good as GFF series but has a charm of its own

It is fantastic to have a new set of Monster High books to enjoy, and even though I like adventures of Venus, Roccel, and Robecca much more. This new "die-ary" is fun though extremely short. With excerpts from Draculara's dairy starting each chapter before going on to tell the next part of the story it is a lot like reading a mini diary that might come with the doll. Those mini stories have always been clever and fun and I can see why they would be used for a book series. My only complaint, like I mentioned before was, it is short. The story that I will give no spoilers on is quick and really only has two kind of twists that revival themselves at the end, but don't really a chance to build up. It is disappointing the story doesn't take advantage of the possibilities it sets up for itself.

In the Ghoulfriends series the story was more fun guessing what turn our three heroes would have to take next. They fleshed out three favorites that weren't the main characters you see in the movies and really had the feeling that the world of Monster High was bigger than just Draculaura, Frankie, and Clawdeen.

I'm really happy to get new adventures of the ghouls especially how little of new webisodes have been getting made. I just think of the book series thus far the Ghoulfriemds Forever is still the best, but like Draculaura you can still make the best of a not so great situation if you stay positive.

one thing i like about monster his is how it takes on different (and often difficult) subjects
bullying,prejudice,and even dealing with mixed backgrounds are just a few to name off the top of my head
here we deal with change and just how menacing it can be.and i think they did it well, i recommend this book for those going threw change's simile to draculara's

Easy Company of the 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment of the 101st Airborne Division has become one of the most famous small units in U.S. history, thanks to Stephen Ambrose’s superb book Band of Brothers, followed by portrayals in film. However, to date little has been heard of Fox Company of that same regiment—the men who fought alongside Easy Company through every step of the war in Europe, and who had their own stories to tell.

Notably this book, over a decade in the making, came about for different reasons than the fame of the “Band of Brothers.” Bill Brown, a WWII vet himself, had decided to research the fate of a childhood friend who had served in Fox Company. Along the way he met Terry Poyser, who was on a similar mission to research the combat death of a Fox Company man from his hometown. Together, the two authors proceeded to locate and interview every surviving Fox Company vet they could find. The result was a wealth of fascinating firsthand accounts of WWII combat as well as new perspectives on Dick Winters and others of the “Band,” who had since become famous.

Told primarily through the words of participants, Fighting Fox Company takes the reader through some of the most horrific close-in fighting of the war, beginning with the chaotic nocturnal paratrooper drop on D-Day. After fighting through Normandy the drop into Holland saw prolonged ferocious combat, and even more casualties; and then during the Battle of the Bulge, Fox Company took its place in line at Bastogne during one of the most heroic against-all-odds stands in U.S. history.

As always in combat, each man’s experience is different, and the nature of the German enemy is seen here in its equally various aspects. From ruthless SS fighters to meek Volkssturm to simply expert modern fighters, the Screaming Eagles encountered the full gamut of the Wehrmacht. The work is also accompanied by rare photos and useful appendices, including rosters and lists of casualties, to give the full look at Fox Company which has long been overdue.

Terry Poyser is a police officer and parachutist who began researching Fox Company in 2000. He has made numerous trips to the battlefields in Europe and traveled throughout the United States to interview veterans for his research. He currently lives in Northern California. William “Bill” Brown was born in Belleplane, Kansas in October 1927, and is a retired air traffic controller and private pilot. Bill also served in the US Navy in WWII. He lives in Southern California.

Excellent details

An amazingly detailed book with excellent references to names, places and battles. No matter how much I've read about WWII, I'm continually stunned at the job done by "The Greatest Generation" in horrible conditions while witnessing gruesome endings to their close friends' lives. The world cannot thank them enough for granting freedom to so many!!!

About the Author
DAVID BESANKO is the Alvin J. Huss Distinguished Professor of Management and Strategy at the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. He received his AB in Political Science from Ohio University in 1977, his MS in Managerial Economics and Decision Sciences from Northwestern University in 1982. Before joining the Kellogg faculty in 1991, Professor Besanko was a member of the faculty of the School of Business at Indiana University from 1982 to 1991. In addition, in 1985, he held a post-doctorate position on the Economics Staff at Bell Communications Research. Professor Besanko teaches courses in the fields of Management and Strategy, Competitive Strategy, and Managerial Economics. In 1995, the graduating class at Kellogg awarded Professor Besanko the L.G. Lavengood Professor of the Year, the highest teaching honor a faculty member at Kellogg can receive.

RONALD R. BRAEUTIGAM is the Harvey Kapnick Professor of Business Institutions in the Department of Economics at Northwestern University. He is Associate Dean for Undergraduate Studies in the Weinberg College of Arts and Sciences. He received a BS in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Tulsa in 1970 and then attended Stanford University and the California Institute of Technology, and he has also held an appointment as a Senior Research Fellow at the Wissenschaftszentrum Berlin (Science Center Berlin). He has also worked in both government and industry, beginning his career as a petroleum engineer with Standard Oil of Indiana (now BP), serving as research economist in The White House office of Telecommunications Policy, and as an economic consultant to Congress, many government agencies and private firms on matters of pricing, costing, managerial strategy, antitrust, and regulation.

Good book, but lacks public choice awareness

Good coverage of main ideas, and does a good job using specific examples to illustrate the concepts. I wish it was more aware of public choice - it often assumes perfection from politicians and bureaucrats, which is the same as assuming they're not human and does a disservice to the topic.

It is a big book, and it isn't formatted as well as some texts are, so readability could be better. Graphs and charts are well used, though - not overused and generally not put on separate pages from the corresponding text, so you can refer from the words to the chart without turning the page.

Informative and in Great Condition.

The product had some minor shipping problems but it was not due to the sending but instead because of UPS. The quality was great and had very minor wear and tear. Overall, the book does a phenomenal job at explaining the economics of regulation in the many different sectors throughout time. Would recommend.
